Angie tells Pat that Den went away to do a job for The Firm which cleared all his brewery debts. Den clocks that something has been going on between Simon and Mags while he's been away.

He says there's no real reason for him to come to Walford again, unless she just wants to see him again, but Pauline politely declines.

Rod is busy painting at the surgery, without Darren. They meet in the Dagmar at lunchtime and get drunk, much to the doctors' disgust.
