Flixr respects intellectual property rights and processes copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe content on flixr.org infringes your copyright, send a written notice through our official legal or support channel including all required elements below:
- Your full name, company (if applicable), and valid contact details.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on Flixr where the allegedly infringing material appears.
- A statement of good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Counter Notification Process
If you believe content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter notification with all information required by applicable law. We review valid counter notices and process them under DMCA procedures.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Where appropriate, Flixr may remove content, restrict access, or take additional enforcement action regarding repeat infringement activity.
Good-Faith and Legal Responsibility
Submitting knowingly false claims can create legal liability. Please send notices only when you have a good-faith basis and legal authority to act.
