Coronation Street – Season 51, which aired primarily in 2010, follows the lives of Weatherfield residents as they navigate major personal challenges and community-wide events. Key cast members included William Roache as Ken Barlow, Simon Gregson as Steve McDonald, Alan Halsall as Tyrone Dobbs, and Helen Flanagan as Rosie Webster.

Coronation Street – Season 51 Plot Summary

Season 51 began with immediate tensions among the Street residents. Steve and Becky McDonald faced ongoing arguments about starting a family. Gail Platt found herself deeper in crisis as Joe McIntyre’s financial troubles worsened, leading to his death and Gail being charged with murder. The affair between Molly Dobbs and Kevin Webster continued, escalating as Molly considered leaving Tyrone for Kevin. Meanwhile, Sally Webster received a breast cancer diagnosis early in the year. A significant plot involved John Stape, who held Carla Connor and Hayley Cropper hostage in the factory during a siege. The season culminated in the 50th-anniversary tram crash in December 2010, which caused widespread damage and trapped several residents, leading to fatalities and long-term consequences for many families. This event had a major impact on characters like Molly, Jack Duckworth, Sunita Alahan, John Stape, Fiz Stape, Kevin Webster, and Carla Connor.
